Niyanig ng magnitude 6.6 na lindol ang probinsya ng Davao Occidental nitong Martes ng umaga, Setyembre 26, ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Sa datos ng Phivolcs, nangyari ang lindol na tectonic ang pinagmulan dakong alas 9:39 ng umaga.

Namataan ang epicenter sa layong 434 kilometro bahagi ng timog-silangan ng Balut Island sa munisipalidad ng Sarangani, Davao Occidental, na may lalim na 122 kilometro.

Posibleng magkaroon ng aftershocks ang naturang lindol, hindi naman ito inaasahang magdudulot ng pinsala sa mga ari-arian at kabuhayan.

Nilinaw din ng Phivolcs na walang banta ng tsunami mula sa naturang lindol. #END
