Kinondena ng Office of the President (OP) ang pag-atake ng Palestinian group na Hamas sa bansang Israel.

“The Philippines conveys its deepest sympathies and condolences to those who have lost family members and loved ones in recent attacks,” pahayag ng OP nitong Linggo, Oktubre 8.

Kaugnay nito, binibigyang-diin ng Pilipinas ang nangyayaring pag-atake lalo na umano laban sa populasyon ng mga sibilyan.

“The Philippines understands the right of states to self-defense in the light of external aggression as recognized in the United Nations Charter,” saad ng OP.

Nasa mahigit 200 katao na ang nasawi sa Israel dahil sa nasabing pag-atake ng Hamas.

Matatandaang nagdeklara ang Home Front Command ng “State of War alert” nitong Sabado, Oktubre 7, matapos umanong magpaulan ng mga rocket fire ang Hamas sa teritoryong hawak ng Israel.

Makikita rin sa mga video footages na kalat sa social media na patuloy ang pag-atake ng mga Hamas sa Israel kung saan ay patuloy itong nagpapaulan ng mga malalakas ng armas by land, by sea, at by air.

Sa mga sandaling ito ay wala pa namang naiulat na mga naapektuhan o nasugatang mga Pilipinong nagtatrabaho roon.  ##
