“Empowering Women Entrepreneurs Through Information and Communications Technology Seminar a Resounding Success”

Rizal, March 22, 2024 – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Rizal, in collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Information Technology Management Service, held a highly informative seminar titled “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs through Information and Communications Technology” on March 22, 2024. The event took place at the DTI-Rizal Training Room and was hosted by STIDS Marlene G. De Luna.

The seminar aimed to equip women entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and knowledge to leverage Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for the advancement of their businesses. Under the insightful guidance of esteemed speakers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Information Technology Management Service, the participants delved into various aspects of digital marketing tailored specifically for women entrepreneurs.

 

Ms. Sharon F. Dioco, Chief of Business Development Division of DTI-Rizal, and PLTCOL Aonn Sucgang of PNP – Information Technology Management Service, delivered opening remarks, setting the tone for the enlightening discussions that followed.

 

The seminar comprised five comprehensive topics:

 

  • A beginner’s guide to product photography and video with mobile phones, elucidated by PLT Ranz Nikko Muñoz.
  • Social Media Marketing strategies elucidated by Eric James Borres.
  • Techniques for Photo Editing and Sharing Product Photos Using Social Media, skillfully discussed by PLT Bensar Ali A Karim.
  • Strategies to Pick Catchy Words and Phrases for effective marketing, presented by NUP Jose Salvador Ruivivar.
  • Insights into Cyber Security Awareness & Tips on How to Avoid Online Scams, shared by PLT Krisanto T. Ulpindo.

Attendees hailed from diverse backgrounds, including budding entrepreneurs, marketing advisers, and professionals eager to enhance their digital marketing acumen. The seminar fostered an environment of collaborative learning, where participants engaged in interactive sessions and gained practical insights to elevate their businesses in the digital landscape.
