Metro Manila at Cebu City, mananatili sa GCQ hanggang Agosto 15 – Duterte

MANILA, Philippines — Inanunsyo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ngayong araw na mananatili ang Metro Manila sa ilalim ng general community quarantine (GCQ) hanggang Agosto 15, 2020.

Dahil ito sa patuloy na pagtaas ng mga nagpopositibo sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19) araw-araw, kailangang muling mag-implementa ng paghihigpit ng seguridad ang pamahalaan at ang IATF upang mabantayan ang patuloy na paglaganap ng naturang virus at para na rin sa ating kalusugan.

Ang iba pang lugar na nasa ilalim ng GCQ ay maghihigpit din ng kanilang seguridad; Bulacan, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, at Rizal sa Luzon; Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, Minglanilla at Consolacion sa Visayas; at Zamboanga City sa Mindanao.

“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, in his Talk to the People Address on July 31, placed Cebu City under general community quarantine (GCQ) starting August 1,” sabi ni Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

Samantala, ibinaba na sa general community quarantine ang Cebu City mula Agosto 1 hanggang Agosto 15, matapos ipahayag ito ng Malacanang ngayong araw.

Matatandaan ang Cebu City ay nanatili sa paghihigpit ng kanilang seguridad sa ilalim ng enhanced community quarantine noong Hunyo 15 hanggang Hulyo 15. Ibinaba naman ito sa modified ECQ noong Hulyo 16 hanggang Hulyo 31.

Sa pagtatala, umabot na sa 8,136 ang confirmed COVID-19 cases sa Cebu City, habang 6,740 na ang nakarecover, at 342 naman ang kaso ng mga namatay sa naturang sakit ayon sa datos mula sa DOH. /DM
