Transportasyon ng agricultural products bumilis ang daloy dahil sa “farm–to–market road” na proyekto ng DPWH

SULTAN KUDARAT, Philippines [R12] –– Tinatamasa na ngayon ng mga residente at mga magsasaka sa bayan ng President Quirino sa probinsya ng Sultan Kudarat ang mga benepisyo na hatid ng “farm-to–market road” [FMR] na proyekto na ipinatupad ng Department of Public Works and Highways [DPWH] doon.

Ayon sa pinosteng report ng DPWH XII sa kanyang opisyal na Facebook account, ang halaga ng nasabing FMR, kung saan may haba na 1.5–kilometro, ay P32 Million at ipinatupad ng tanggapan ng DPWH–Sultan Kudarat 1^st District Engineering Office [SK 1^st DEO] na nakabase naman sa bayan ng Isulan ng nasabing probinsya.

Ayon sa ilang mga magsasaka doon, dahil sa proyekto ng DPWH, naging maganda at mabilis ang daloy ng transportasyon ng mga produktong pang–agrikultura nila, tulad ng palm oil, bigas, tubo, mais at isda.

Sumang–ayon naman ang tanggapan ng DPWH XII sa nasabing resulta ng ipinatupad nitong FMR na proyekto dahil ang layunin naman talaga ng ahensya ay “to improve transport of farm products mainly palm oil, rice, surgarcane [muscovado], corn, fishing and allied industries.”

Ayon sa report ng DPWH XII, nagsimula ang konstruksyon ng nasabing daan mula sa Poblacion ng President Quirino hanggang Barangay Bagumbayan.

“It also connects Barangay Poblacion and Barangay Bagumbayan which provides access to Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Church,” sabi ng DPWH XII.

Nagpasalamat naman ang mga residente dahil naging madali at may direkta na silang “access” papunta sa nasabing simbahan.

Ang bayan ng President Quirino ay isa sa mga lokalidad ng probinsya na malaki ang potensyal na mas lumago pa dahil sa mga produktong pang–agrikultura nito na naging sikat at dinadayo ng mga mamimili at mga negosyante.

Ang nasabing mga produkto nito ay ang “sukang tubo at tubo” [or vinegar made of sugarcane] at ang best–selling nito na “muscovado” [partially refined to unrefined brown sugar made of sugarcane]. (Photo: DPWH XII) #DM
